Synopsis
Year 1929. The young Federico García Lorca, barely thirty-one years old, arrives in New York in the depths of a personal crisis. The city—of superhuman architecture and furious rhythm—shakes and awakens him. There, the poet bares himself, facing the noise, the loneliness, and the devouring modernity.

Lovers Murdered by a Partridge is a stage journey where poetry, theatre, and flamenco blend to rescue the spirit of those days. An adaptation by Teatro Flamenco MT based on the poetic tale Lorca wished to include in Poet in New York, alongside Submerged Swimmer and Suicide in Alexandria.

Four times live within the poet: the eternal, the present, the past, and the conditional. Through them speak his memories: Genoveva, Luciano, and Federico. Three souls united by an invisible thread—love—that strains between memory and desire. In his suitcase, Federico keeps the echoes of his life, the names that hurt, the dreams that were not. With his pen and his music, he sets out on a journey to oblivion and revelation.
